Publish a listing on BikUp
Publishing a listing on BikUp is completely free.
You can create as many listings as you like, at no cost.
Conditions for publishing a listing
To publish a listing on BikUp, two conditions must be met:
- the listing must be for a bike or a bike-related accessory and comply with the Terms and Conditions of Use
- if you are a professional rental provider, you must issue an invoice at the end of each rental
Accepted listing types
You can publish listings for bikes or bike-related equipment, in accordance with the platform’s terms of use.
Create a listing
To publish a listing, log in to your account and go to: https://bikup.app/en/listings/create
You will be guided step by step. You will be asked for:
- general information about the listing
- additional details including a title and a description
- the listing location address
(this is not publicly visible and is only used for map display) - at least one photo of the bike; if you add several photos, you can choose a cover photo

- the rental price and the deposit amount
Listing visibility and ranking
Listings are displayed and ranked based on several criteria:
- distance from the searched area
- content quality (title, description) and photos
- owner responsiveness and reliability (response rate and refusal rate)
- reviews left by renters
To maximize your chances of getting bookings, you can:
- write a clear and detailed description
- add high-quality photos

Highlighting your listing
A well-written and well-illustrated listing appears more often at the top of search results.
We recommend that you:
- take care with the bike description
- add several clear and representative photos

Edit an existing listing
To edit a listing, log in to your account, go to https://bikup.app/en/dashboard/listings, and select the relevant listing.
You can edit all information from the different tabs.
Edit listing photos
From your dashboard, access your listings, select the one you want to edit, then go to the Photos tab to add, remove, or reorder images.
Set booking preferences
From the Preferences tab of your listing, you can define:
- availability preferences
- minimum rental duration
- advance notice before booking
- discounts
- discount for rentals longer than 7 days
- discount for rentals longer than 30 days
- cancellation options
As an owner, you can choose between several cancellation rules for your listing.
Flexible
The renter can cancel up to the day before departure. They will then be refunded the rental amount, excluding BikUp service fees.
Zen
The renter can cancel 3 days or more before the start of the rental; you will be compensated with 30% of the amount you would have received.
If the renter cancels less than 3 days before the start of the rental, no refund will be possible.
Moderate
The renter can cancel 10 days or more before the start of the rental; you will be compensated with 30% of the amount you would have received.
If the renter cancels less than 10 days before the start of the rental, no refund will be possible.
Strict
In case of cancellation by the renter, no refund will be possible. You will therefore receive 100% of the rental amount.
The “Zen” policy is the default option on BikUp.
Pause a listing
You can pause a listing at any time, for example in case of temporary unavailability.
The listing will no longer appear in search results.
Delete a listing
If you want to permanently delete a listing, go to https://bikup.app/en/dashboard/listings and select the relevant listing.
Set the deposit amount
The deposit amount is freely defined by the owner and is usually in the form of a non-cashed check.
In the meantime, we recommend checking similar listings.
Deposits that are too high may discourage bookings.
Half-day rentals
Half-day rentals are not yet available on BikUp.
