What is BikUp’s commission?

BikUp’s commission is 5% of the amount you set for the rental. This commission covers the platform’s operating costs (hosting, accounting, moderation-related expenses, etc.).

For example, if you rent out your bike for €20 per day, you will receive €19 per day including tax.

What happens in case of damage?

In case of damage to your bike, the rental contract you have established protects you. Rely on it and try to find a mutual agreement with the renter. In case of damage and in accordance with the rental contract, you may retain an amount from the deposit.

Is a rental contract required?

For a stress-free rental, we recommend that you:

  • sign a rental contract (we provide a contract and its rental contract clauses)
  • request a copy of an ID document
  • request a deposit (often via a non-cashed check)
