Every year, millions of bikes are purchased and left unused in garages. The result? Wasted resources, avoidable carbon emissions, and a significant financial impact.
At BikUp, we believe in a more responsible and sustainable model: renting a bike instead of buying one you’ll only use a few times. With renting, you get the right bike at the right time, with no storage or maintenance constraints.
👉 Enjoy a quality bike tailored to your needs while reducing your environmental impact.

A bike when you need it, without the drawbacks of buying
No need to invest hundreds of euros in a bike you’ll rarely use. Rent a bike suited to your occasional needs and avoid maintenance and storage hassles.
Buying a bike is expensive, especially when you need accessories (helmet, lock, rack…). Renting means you only pay when you need it, with no hidden costs.
Whether you need a mountain bike for an adventurous weekend, a cargo bike to carry your kids, or an electric bike for an effortless ride, you’ll find the perfect bike on BikUp.
Every rental helps reduce congestion, lower pollution, and promote a more sustainable way of getting around.
Renting means paying only for what you need. No more buying a bike that will gather dust! You can also benefit from discounted rates for rentals of one week or longer.

Buying a new bike involves energy-intensive materials (aluminum, steel, carbon) and a significant carbon footprint from manufacturing and transport. By renting a bike, you:
Enter your location and discover a wide selection of bikes available near you or at your destination.
Filter by bike type: city bike, mountain bike, electric bike, gravel, cargo bike, tandem, etc.
Check reviews from previous renters to choose with confidence.
Verify included equipment: helmet, lock, child seat, basket…
Select your dates and submit your booking request. Once the owner accepts your request, complete the payment securely through our platform.
Meet the owner or professional renter to pick up your bike. Check its condition together and sign the rental contract and inspection report.
Once your adventure is over, return the bike to the agreed meeting point. You can then leave a review about your experience!

You can cancel a booking at any time. As a courtesy, it’s best to inform the owner as early as possible.
To cancel your booking, log in to your profile and click on “Trips”. Then select the booking to cancel and click the “Cancel” button. Refund rules depend on the policy chosen by the owner for the listing (Flexible, Zen, Moderate, or Strict).
The owner has 48 hours to accept or decline a booking. To improve your chances of getting a positive response, feel free to send multiple booking requests (maximum 5).
