For a worry-free rental, we recommend that you:
- sign a rental agreement
- ask for a copy of an ID document
- ask for a deposit (often an uncashed cheque)
You'll find many examples of rental agreements online. You can also write your own or have one drafted by a legal professional. We offer one here.
Paper or digital, both are possible! Be careful though: for a digital agreement, remember to state the signature method.
