BikUp Ambassador Guide

Bikes lovers

Welcome to the BikUp Ambassador Program

Thanks for joining BikUp.

If you’re here, it’s for one simple reason: in your city, you’ll help cyclists earn money with their bikes.

BikUp allows any individual or bike shop to rent out a bike easily—no paperwork, no specific skills required.

Your role is to meet local bike players and explain that:

→ an unused bike can earn money
→ it’s free
→ it’s simple
→ and it’s secure

And you’re rewarded too:

You earn 100% of the BikUp commission, i.e. 5% on every rental generated by users you activate.

You’re not a salesperson. You’re a local ambassador—someone who knows the area and the cycling scene.

1. Your role in 30 seconds

Your mission: go meet cyclists, owners, workshops, shops and clubs in your city to introduce BikUp.

Your goals:

  • show that renting a bike earns money
  • explain that everything is automated (payment, deposit, insurance)
  • prove it’s quick to set up
  • make the circular economy tangible
  • help with the first listing if needed

As soon as a user you activated rents a bike:

→ you earn 5% of every rental
→ every time
→ for as long as they rent

At your own pace.

2. How to prepare your visit

It only takes a few minutes.

2.1 Who to visit

  • owners with nice bikes
  • local workshops
  • bike shops
  • clubs, Facebook groups
  • places where cycling is very present

2.2 Check their website / social media

2–3 minutes is enough.

2.3 Send a short message before dropping by

Email template:

Hello, I’m a BikUp ambassador in the area.

BikUp helps individuals and shops earn money by renting out their bikes—very simply.

I’ll be in the area this week if you have 5 minutes.

See you soon.

SMS template:

Hello, I’m a BikUp ambassador.

I’ll stop by this week to show you a free service to rent out bikes and earn money easily.

3. Opening message: simple and direct

When you arrive:

“Hello, I’m a BikUp ambassador.
Do you ever rent out bikes, or are you asked about it?
BikUp lets any individual or shop earn money easily by renting their bikes.”

Then:

  • smile
  • ask questions
  • listen
  • keep it light

Your goal: show them the website.

4. The 5 arguments that work

4.1 A simple way to earn money

An unused bike can earn money from the very first rental.

4.2 It’s free

No subscription. No commitment.

If it doesn’t rent → no cost.

4.3 BikUp handles everything

Payment, deposit, insurance, calendar—everything is automated.

4.4 It’s fast

Creating a listing takes just a few minutes:

title, photos, price → online.

4.5 Nothing to lose, everything to gain

Try with just one bike.

If it rents → great.
If it doesn’t → it costs nothing.

5. Your goal: show the site

You can say:

“I’ll show you how it works in 30 seconds.”

Then:

  1. open bikup.app
  2. show a bike listing
  3. click “List your bike”
  4. show the map

Objective:

→ they see it’s simple
→ they understand it can earn money
→ they picture themselves using it

6. If the person isn’t interested

No problem.

Stay friendly and positive.

Useful phrase:

“No worries. If one day you want to try with a bike, give me a call. It’s very simple and it can earn money.”

Then leave a QR code and thank them.

No pressure. No insistence.

7. How does your commission work?

Very simple.

You earn 100% of the BikUp commission.

→ 5% of every rental made by users you activate.

And this applies:

  • to all bikes of one owner
  • to all bikes of a shop
  • for as long as they rent on BikUp

Concrete example

  • One 4-day rental at €20 / day
  • Rental: €80 → BikUp commission €4
  • 5 rentals in a month → €20 / month 👌

An active owner all year → it adds up
A shop with several bikes → it can become real recurring income

How do you link an owner to your account?
We provide you with a tracked sign-up link, or you can ask them to email us at contact@bikup.app saying they come from you.

8. A living playbook

This document evolves with you.

If you find:

  • a sentence that works well
  • a recurring objection
  • an effective argument
  • an idea for improvement

Share it—we’ll integrate it.

Thank you for being a BikUp Ambassador

You help cyclists earn money, make cycling more accessible, and bring the circular economy to life in your region.

We’re building this together.
