Welcome to the BikUp Ambassador programme
Thanks for joining BikUp.
If you're here, it's for one simple reason: in your city, you're going to help cyclists earn money with their bikes.
BikUp lets any individual or shop rent out a bike easily, with no paperwork and no special skills.
Your role is to go and meet local cycling players and explain to them that:
→ an unused bike can earn money → it's free → it's simple → and it's secure
And you get rewarded too:
You receive 100% of the BikUp commission, i.e. 5% of every rental generated by the users you activate.
You're not a salesperson. You're a local ambassador, someone who knows the area and the cycling world around them.
1. Your role in 30 seconds
Your goal: go and see the cyclists, owners, workshops, shops and clubs in your city to introduce BikUp to them.
Your aim:
- help them understand that renting out lets them earn money
- explain that everything is automated (payment, deposit, insurance)
- show that it's quick to set up
- make the circular economy tangible
- help with their first listing if needed
As soon as a user you've activated rents out their bike:
→ you receive 5% of the amount of every rental → every time → for as long as they rent
You do this at your own pace.
2. How to prepare your visit
It takes a few minutes.
2.1 Find who to go and see
- owners with great bikes
- local workshops
- shops
- clubs, Facebook groups
- places where cycling is very present
2.2 Look at their website / social media
2–3 minutes are enough.
2.3 Send a short message before dropping by
Sample email:
Hello, I'm a BikUp ambassador in the area.
BikUp lets individuals and shops earn money by renting out their bikes, very simply.
I'll drop by this week if you have 5 minutes.
See you soon.
Sample text message:
Hello, I'm a BikUp ambassador.
I'll drop by this week to introduce you to a free service to rent out your bike and earn money easily.
3. Opening line: simple and direct
When you arrive:
“Hello, I'm a BikUp ambassador. Do you ever rent out bikes, or do people ask you to? BikUp lets any individual or shop easily earn money by renting out their bikes.”
Then:
- you smile
- you ask questions
- you listen
- you keep it light
Your goal: show them the website.
4. The 5 arguments that work
4.1 It's a simple way to earn money
An unused bike can pay off from the very first rental.
4.2 It's free
No subscription. No commitment.
If it doesn't rent → no cost.
4.3 BikUp handles everything
Payment, deposit, insurance, calendar: everything is automated.
4.4 It's quick
Creating a listing takes a few minutes:
title, photos, price → it's online.
4.5 Nothing to lose, everything to gain
Try with just one bike.
If it rents → perfect.
If it doesn't → it costs nothing.
5. Your goal: show the website
You can say:
“Let me show you how it works in 30 seconds.”
Then you:
- open bikup.app
- show a bike page
- click on “Rent out”
- show the map
Goal:
→ they see that it's simple
→ they understand it can earn money
→ they picture themselves doing it
6. If the person isn't interested
No problem.
Stay friendly and smiling.
Useful phrase:
“No problem. If one day you'd like to try with one bike, give me a call. It's very simple and it can earn you money.”
Then leave a QR code and thank them.
Never pressure, never insist.
7. How does your commission work?
It's very simple.
You receive 100% of the BikUp commission.
→ 5% of every rental made by the users you activate.
And this:
- on all of an owner's bikes
- on all of a shop's bikes
- for as long as they rent on BikUp
A concrete example
- A 4-day rental at €20 / day
- Rental: €80 ⇒ BikUp commission €4
- 5 rentals in the month ⇒ €20 / month 👌
An owner who's active all year round → it adds up
A shop with several bikes → it can become a real income stream
How do you link the owner to your account? We give you a sign-up link with a tracker, but you can also ask them to email us at contact@bikup.app saying they were referred by you.
