Message moderation

Messages exchanged via BikUp’s messaging system are only accessible to the users involved.

In exceptional cases, BikUp may access certain user exchanges, in particular to:

• prevent or detect fraud attempts,
• assist users in case of a dispute or report,
• identify inappropriate behavior,
• verify compliance with the platform’s terms and conditions of use.

Such access is strictly limited, occasional, and justified.
It is never carried out for commercial or marketing purposes.

BikUp is committed to preserving, as much as possible, the confidentiality of users’ personal data and communications.

Review moderation

At the end of each rental, both the owner and the renter are invited to leave a review about their experience.

These reviews are subject to moderation and may be removed or hidden if they:

• contain abusive, defamatory, or discriminatory language,
• are unrelated to the rental experience,
• disclose personal information,
• violate the platform’s terms of use.

BikUp does not edit the content of reviews, but ensures that they remain
useful, honest, and respectful, in the interest of the entire community.
