What documents are required to rent a bike?
For a smooth and worry-free rental, we advise owners to:
- sign a rental contract with you,
- ask for a copy of your ID document,
- request a deposit (usually in the form of a non-cashed check).
These elements help secure the rental for both parties.
Do I need my own lock and helmet?
Each owner specifies in the listing description the accessories included with the bike.
- A lock is often included in the rental.
- A helmet, however, is less commonly provided.
In all cases, we recommend discussing this with the owner before the rental via BikUp’s messaging system to confirm the available equipment.
