Is the deposit handled by BikUp?
At present, the deposit is not yet handled directly by BikUp.
Deposit arrangements (amount, form, return) are therefore agreed directly between the owner and the renter when the bike is handed over.
For a rental you can trust, we advise owners to:
- draw up a rental agreement with you,
- ask for a copy of your ID document,
- ask for a deposit, usually in the form of an uncashed cheque.
These best practices help secure the rental for both parties.
