Is the deposit managed by BikUp?
At this time, the deposit is not yet managed directly by BikUp.
The management of the deposit (amount, form, and return) is therefore defined directly between the owner and the renter at the time the bike is handed over.
For a rental based on trust, we advise owners to:
- draw up a rental contract with you,
- request a copy of your ID document,
- ask for a deposit, usually in the form of a non-cashed check.
These best practices help secure the rental for both parties.
